impressions of california

by Cassandra Leigh

he's leaving
impressions of california
on this east-coast mind,
a brilliant light storm
that bites, so sweetly,
like waking to frost.

west-coasting,
hitting stride--
this bright apollo is
a masterwork:
simple in complexity,
the completion of me.

Are you going? Is he? Nice very very sweet and clear and simple and timeless.

Makes me smile because it brings back such good memories of living in California and the ease of life... hope that someone brought that sort of beauty and ease in to your east-coast living... ~N
