The Beaten by Jessica A Steenbockhe was beautiful
strong and big
his muscles would ripple
as he stalked through the grass
wild and powerful
he stood alone
once he had been the worker
constantly flogged and pushed
worked to bone
until they bled him dry
so many times
that whip had pierced his flesh
everyday he was pulled from his peace
he was tied to a stump
always being prodded to pull it out
always being broken down and beaten
every day was the same
the same tired ending
one day he refused to be beaten down
he fought back until he won
he kicked and bit
and they ran screaming
and now wild and powerful
he stands alone 10/20/2008 Author's Note: this is still a work in progress. i don't think he has been fully described in all his glory. i don't know that our story has been found yet. feedback is of course welcome. thanks.
