I'll just stand here.

by Johnny Crimson

So here we are dear.
The best we'll ever look,
smiling side by side in this new photograph that threatens
to deceive the outsiders.
It appears to be the end of our old struggle.
The payoff of this tumultuous yet secret
relationship.
All the hushed history is here.
The spoils have been unleashed if you will.
I can grab your ass and stick my tongue down
your throat in crowds, and it's the norm.
Not like were on borrowed time.
"He got her after all these years." That type of
shit. As for you my sweet. Being the perfect
height for me, and the fact that we look
brilliant together here, well I would bet on something blue,
the world would never question that we are
a couple.
And just like every other disasterfuck fantasy in my one sided
obsession, the photo of us means nothing.
You took pictures with all of your guests.
