Such An Angst by Joe CramerSo in the restaurant they sat
Arguing over their simple lives.
Such pain, such misery, such angst
That they both knew would someday pass.
I wondered what it was I should do,
If anything at all.
I sat there, in guilt ridden abeyance
Watching their love fall apart.
Who would pick uo the pieces,
When would it start?
In the restaurant they sat
Watching their lives slip away.

| Posted by Jeffrey Parren on 10/17/08 at 06:21 PM I have waited on said people, and it is hard to see it happen, but also as rough on the people trying to make sure they are enjoying themselves. Within knowing I can't make the night go any smoother, I resign to the fact that getting them through the meal quicker maybe ensures they leave and perhaps make something better of the evening. But to stop and notice it just makes the situation that much harder to deal with all around. When intentions do not come through...~JPP |
