Lady Air by Robbi SkaeraHid from unwary eyes,
Snakes her convoy at both sides,
Unphased by teeth and claws,
Closer still, the Anzu draws.
The world beneath lies past your door,
I cannot resist its' lure.
Why must you leave so soon?
Stay, watch the passing moon.
Fled from the garden gate,
Now seek your perfect resting place.
Freed from eternal chores-
Sleep now forever more. 10/16/2008 Posted on 10/16/2008 Copyright © 2024 Robbi Skaera

Posted by JD Clay on 10/17/08 at 12:09 AM This emotive piece is brimming with persuasion, Robbi. I especially like the effervescent feminism in the title, the way it opens in a haunting fashion, transitions into an ethereal realm and closes with a real sense of promise, liberation and resolve. |

Posted by Tony Whitaker on 10/18/08 at 04:27 AM I am thinking Byron and Poe as I read this beautiful expression on crossing over.... |

Posted by Arianna Woods on 10/31/08 at 12:32 AM You already know I love this one... however, I don't think the word "its" in the second stanza, second line, should have an apostrophe after it. Hello nit picking! <3 |
