...it wasn't october that made me do it...

by Olivia Weinkein

it wasn't october that made me do it
climbing the walls for days i was
seeking some sort of answer
to questions gone ignored

you just stood there
you never said a thing & when
you finally spoke, it was nothing

nothing

worth listening to & i could have
cried or died, they truly are one
in the same, all this time spent
waiting for this

beautiful confrontation, what i needed
most

and you just stood there, you
just
stood
there
and looked exactly the same.

I like the imagery but in reading it I feel myself reaching for more concretes, more things to round of the idea of the poem...~JPP

heartbreaking! I totally feel the sense of disappointment in the end..."i could have cried or died, they are one in the same" what a great line!
