Lost, so lost

by Keith D Allison

The winds of loneliness and death, yet is life free
looked to the west, see the dark clouds risen
eating up the land, leaving barren waste
Will the children, will they survive

the rain's don't come
dark clouds arise, eating up the land
the grass doesn't grow
Tumbleweed's and dust, boil and the pot

Cover the eyes, so they can see
it is so hard to breathe
cus the dark clouds steals the day
taking the air away

Cover the child's crib
for the Earth hangs in the air
by morning it shell cover the linens
laying deep on the floor

Whisper a prayer for your brother
dry your sisters eye
for the dark clouds do rise
though the hearts may tremble

Some cannot
let hope
fall…
