she runs to find the reason
seeking out the horizon of sweet dreams
of everything real

carry me back to the wonderland
of possibilities anew

how far have we fallen
from that state of grace,
so many cynics
so much doom

can we get past the pretending
of denying the lie,
and live in the moment
each and every second,
living and loving together as one
not falling apart at the seams….
