Having been receipt
of their drink order

I hurriedly bring
the bottled water

as requested

Still and Sparkling
(something for everyone)

and in beginning
this annoying
yet necessary step

before the dash for drinks

I am again reminded
why regular old tap water
has such a nice ring to it

even though $8 per bottle
does help that check average

it often adds
to my level of unsettle

the ever-difficult
decision making process
begins

whether
bubbles catch fancy
or
flat is the way to go

or perhaps the language barrier
"Gas or no gas?"

but then again
"Yes"
is always the x factor

agreeing yet not
forcing my hand

upon a choice
I care little upon

to pour whatever I feel
or to question again

showing that ultimate
service mentality

possibly setting myself up
for a loop of agony

but who can forget
the
"Yeah, whatever..."

bringing me back
to the task at hand

the inevitable end result
of all my hard work:

money at the end of the day

without any hard evidence
that something was accomplished.
