Destiny

by David Garner

my days and nights
have been numbered
since I was born
Destiny

all words for future books
have been written down
yesterday
Destiny

the road you walk tomorrow
has been mapped out
long ago
Destiny

the waves you ride at sea
have been formed by clouds above
years before the clouds were formed
Destiny

the one who gives you love
has been here all along
just waiting for your ship to sail
Destiny

the cure for that strange disease
has been here long before
the disease itself arrived
Destiny

the score that shocks the world
has been played out on the court
before there was a court
Destiny

the dreams that wake you up
have already been conjured up
next year in that strange hotel
Destiny

Ya. I think time only exists on this plane, where we seem to need it as a framework to mark the occurance of events. Before, after; yesterday, today, tomorrow; then, now, later. All just a framework. I love to escape it every so often.
