Along the Ocean

by David Garner

Along the ocean is a
bay that houses whales and
coral.

Dolphins dive as
eagles
fly above the

greenish waters.
Honolulu in the winter
is a dream of mine. And

just in case we get the chance, let's off the plane, go
kiss the girls who give us
leis as we land someday, the two of us, in Honolulu.

Maybe you've already been or
never want to go.
Or think that I am acting crazy, but

perhaps someday we'll go. I may be a little
quick to judge, but
really I would love to go

so much with you, the stunning view of palm
trees swaying in the wind. The
ukuleles and

volcanoes. Think of
what you'd find that trip that could change your life forever. The bamboo
xylophone that I would buy for you as I know

you'd play it with the grace of the sweetest
zephyr.
