Sunset Glimmer by Alison McKenzieWe drove the gorge,
Took you away from the earth bowl
Where you grew up.
The trees swayed in response,
Waving us forward,
Paying homage to your beloved feet,
Sighing, those leaves and the wind,
About how they would miss your touch
And the way you shared your energy
With all the occupants of this land.
And away we continued
From this magical place
And your friends,
Your family,
Those of us who love you
Dearest enough to release you
In love and laughter.
A slow transition
Free and away.
And witnessed your universe expand.
As we neared your new home,
The wind in leaves welcomed,
Applauding your arrival
In gusts and giggles,
So happy to dance in your star-shine
Sweet luminous tread
Your new path.
While unmet souls bask
How you radiate!
I drove home without you,
Back to the bowl
And my shrinking world,
Glad for every moment weve ever shared,
To wait, in joy,
For my next glimpse -
Happy to see you glimmer in the sunset.

May your new days and nights be filled with all the wonder of your latest adventure! May you care for Joe and Tamara and Atreyou in that amazing spirit, learning from and teaching them the way you do, with your magic and your intuition and your lovely heart.
