cooked by Mary Frances Spencerits getting hotter
as we freeze
in headlines glare
fumbling with the wrong keys
running on the half empty
who will pay
when all the getting
is going gone
so sticky fingers
wash up
share that pie
because it is falling off
the chart
hear us hungry players
we want to know
whats for

Posted by Alison McKenzie on 10/02/08 at 06:12 PM I am so emotionally disconnected from the economic climate. I don't have enough money to pay the rent, much less worry whether my bank is drowning. It may be even easier on those of us who don't have investments *knocking on wood cuz my grandmother relies on hers to get by* |
Posted by Stephan Anstey on 10/02/08 at 06:36 PM I so won't get into politics of this... i'm a radical don't ya know..but nice job. |
Posted by Charlie Morgan on 10/02/08 at 06:43 PM ...feedback on the word-usage, not political, i love the packaging of each stanza, one at a time, one would not see the connectivity to the bail out of whatever, but more specifically "see" the haves and the have-nots...each pocket of Earth has those two... |
