No one remembers, no one remembers by Keith D AllisonThe greatest poet
ever published
no one
remembers… his name
Lines of laughter
lines of tears
lines that brought
a heart to its knees
Do the word's
Whisper
in the wind
are they heard in the night
Banished, banished
in the heat of the fire
forever, forever
they are lost
The library
great
it burns
once again
The Roman soldier
cast to scroll into the fire
in the heat raises
the ash flows high into the air
the
ash fall's
into
the sea
No one
Remembers, the line
no one
remember… the name 10/01/2008 Posted on 10/01/2008 Copyright © 2024 Keith D Allison

Posted by Gregory O'Neill on 10/01/08 at 05:53 PM Hi Keith. Maybe I'm grasping at something too obvious here, but I imagine the great Library at Alexandria here. And it seems a timeless message about how the many centuries change humanity. Well done. Thanks. |
