Passing Through by George Hoernerpassing through life
leaves ripples as a stone
skipping across a pond's surface
leaves each encounter with water
surrounded by expanding circles
each little splash
a reflection of our impact
upon our immediate universe
important or not
perspective only provides
no answer
as a response may or not
be forth coming
each meeting
as important
as the other
for to recover
it helps to discover
other ripples
in the sea of life
each ripple portends
a brush however small
while standing on the shore
leaving water untouched
allows little chance
to feel or taste this
pool of life
