for envy suits
in jaded colors.

The darkest part
of has already given
in to the world
that surrounds you.

Be still my heart
for you crave to
be the longest night,
and even then you
toss and turn against
the sheets of velvet.

Oh how the dreams
burn your soul,
and how the disappointment
adds more to the broken
pieces.

Strangely and most
frustratedly you beg
for a second chance
to be part of something
grand but the grandeur
is gone.

The time is spent,
and the beautiful
have passed on
to the next of yours
and those who shared
your pain.

Stop it!
And the love is gone.
Drive forward,
and you're already done.
For in it all
failure is the only
