Moon's Lyre

by Alison McKenzie

I’'ve lassoed the Moon,
Full and emanating
The brightest beams of love,
Drawn into my heart,
Glowing in the night
Of this starkly driven journey
Where I find myself
Trekking among stars
And planetary debris;
Everything that makes up
This fine universe -
You and I and all that is -
These creatures of humanity
Who love beyond knowing,
Beyond faith,
Beyond words in any language.

I am so full.
