dreams, more dreams by Anastasia SelbyFor a while I had
stopped dreaming.
My sleep was dark and dull,
I remembered nothing when I woke.
But lately, sleeping next to you,
it seems you weave yourself into my
subconscious.
Last night I was in a damp place,
the sound of water was
soft against my bones,
I floated over the lakes,
treaded air softly,
wondering if I would fall.
There was everyone there.
Everyone I am getting ready to leave,
you kissed someone I didn't know,
I carried a puppy.
As confusing to you as it is to me,
I'm sure.
There was a gray, small shark
stuck under a foam wave,
water sliding softly over his rough skin,
he had lost his tail,
a bloody stump there instead.
We killed the puppy to feed him.
I felt nothing,
only pictured you kissing that girl.
Is that how it is?
Via interpretation by my subconscious?
I bought you a cookie at the bakery next door.
Hoping you would still love me. 09/18/2008 Author's Note: I dunno.
