Bread Pudding, To Go That Is by Jeffrey ParrenPlease excuse me if I give you an attitude
but I do understand the importance
of your Bread Pudding not having the sauce
as you requested, twice,
but in your obsession with
the perception of my stupidity
you unwittingly forgot to mention
that it was "To Go"
so as I placed the forks on the table
in preparation for your current consumption
of said Bread Pudding
you ask if it was in the bag too
with your Sea Bass you were unable to finish
that I wrapped because I had to,
you'd already know the answer
since you failed to mention
you were taking it with you,
but apparently I'm the idiot. 09/18/2008 Author's Note: No note needed. Clearly.

Posted by Keith McFarlane on 09/18/08 at 07:13 AM Ha! There's a great snide rage simmering here -- this peom expresses great frustration at having to sit there and take it. With a smile, no less. Good stuff! |
