Television Season

by Christopher Shin

Fall in all seasons
flow and grow with
each episodic adventure
I watch.

In all things Kansas
seems like a distant
land with flying monkeys
and evil witches.

I remember things
long ago when life
was still lived,
and youth was still
tangiable.

Now I am older and
my bones feel
the strain of Winter's
cold and tender hug.

All I can do is turn back,
and hope that each
episode can turn back
time just this once
so I won't take
anything for granted.

Which is always a tough thing to pull off really well, but I'd say you did it in excellent, excellent fashion.
