what do you think hurts deeper?
words written and seen unbeknownst
or something shared about,
was this by fortuity
on an otherwise normal day,
sneers bashed beyond those boundary lines
fought brave in battles past
when we had everything to lose,
meaningless now
when tossed around
with careless breath...

where did real honor go
deep respect borne of desperate days
when survival sure meant everything,
love stood firm and held on tight
victorious we were
and so I thought,
remained

until that fateful day
traveling along in happenstance
I gazed upon that something said,
how it rips my heart
with this slow bleed,
now, it changes everything...
