When I Am Tired and Ready for Bed by Joe CramerWhen I am tired, and ready for bed
I think of you my muse, lovely in view.
Such thoughts that now flitter, run through my head
While I lay sprawled, with limbs that are askew.
Drooping eyelids flutter, then open wide
Dreaming of my love though I am so tired.
My thoughts are too many, to run and hide,
My brain surges on, as if it were wired.
By the brightest day and darkest of night
I dream of my true love, my heart, my muse.
Longing to have you, always in my sight
Sharing such joy none could ever refuse.
Truest love, you are always on my mind,
Your sweetest of hearts, none could ever find. 09/08/2008 Posted on 09/08/2008 Copyright © 2025 Joe Cramer
