Perhaps

by Keith D Allison

From one love to another

It is past
upon the sea
a thousand counts
the simple sounds of time

Life
the waste

It never breathed
upon the mountains crest
or
found its rest
in a silence of the star

Life  oh Life
the simple waste of time

For there was no quest
in the dreams
just the dust
in the heat of an empty heart

Blue
the sky of pain

No more
the empty…
wail

Summer is gone
hear the cry
no more the name
just the pain

The sky, a silver gray
no tune to twist the beauty
no more to say
that taste left, will always be… a part of breath

Sumner last
moist tears
they
fades away

in two the sweet streams
giggling laughing
in the canvas splashed with color
autumn begins to play
