My Heart Does Melt When I Am Leaving You

by Joe Cramer

My heart does melt when I am leaving you,

It starts splintering in half, then breaks in two.

Leaving you sweet muse, when we are apart,

Hastens time when joy together will start.

Just seeing you now, your sweet smiling face

Leaves me enthralled, as time does not erase

The memories that I have, that we share.

So much true love, it does not matter where

We are, or the length of such distant miles.

I go to you my muse, to share your smiles.

My muse, to hold you once again, once more

Swept up in your arms, it's you I adore.

My melting heart is like soft Kansas snow

To love you my sweet muse, this you must know.
