My pen is my cigarette.
Or vice versa?
I don't smoke so
the only thing that is true
is the ease and elation
when I successfully jot
my inner thoughts and
instantly the pen becomes
a chew stick of introspection
until the next insightful realization
is recognized in written form
and I can exhale an empty breath
with anxious hope I have not
ran out of ink and inspiration.
