Gone

by George Hoerner

i'm somewhere
out there
looking for myself
on that finite
road of life
searching after
the elusive it
for which
there is no name

a time a place
could it be love
or peace
sanity if it
exists

remembered by some
for what i've said
by more
for what i didn't

the things i've done
question marks
or exclamation points
followed by
page after page
blank in the
minds of man

time piles up
with an end
in sight
but will
there be
delight

...now, george do you really want an answer to tha last query?...i love the da-dum, dum-dum of this and the track of it's existential tears...just of questioning the IT...Lao Tsu [var.Tzu ca. 650 a. d. author of the TAO-the WAY] says the mystery has an even deeper mystery...maybe that's why it fills the bill, it is all we can call this thing...good write, very good...

Great questions you've posed here, worth some serious contemplation. alisa ;-)
