What do I do when my wife gets mad?

I am totally submissive to her whims and wishes
I pet the cats with a slow persistence
I find my keys though it takes 30 minutes
I call the florist and send her some flowers,
To work of course, so she can
brag to the other b______!

What do I do when my wife gets mad?

I run to her side,
promise not to be bad.
Then spying the best
rose in our garden,
I snip it and ask
the plant for its pardon.
Then hold it out
to my wife filled with fire
and tell her she’s my only desire

But seeing a smile,
where once was ire,
she sighs and says,
"why is there always
a prick
with desire?"
