I looked for your card in the mail today

Just to know for once, of how you are feeling.

Without your love my muse, this I must say,

Leaves my weariest heart spinning, reeling.

Each day a watchful eye for the new Post,

Longing to see what he'll bring, deliver.

It is at these times I miss you the most,

My heart lifts, starts, stops, and then does quiver.

To receive written words of love, to me,

Brings such blissful joy, happiness and peace.

My aching heart, to be unbound, set free.

True love from my muse would bring such release.

To find your love letter in this day's mail,

A love so true, so real, and without fail.
