Awakened by Rain

by Alison McKenzie

Fragrant is the night,
And rich in the symphony
Of gravity-driven liquid
Dancing atop the solid masses
That occupy the little plot of earth
I like to call “home”.

...should you know mmmm or not? can you take it?...the truth that is. you don't smell the rain, sadly or happily you smell the dust particales that the rain is bringing down...space dust if you will but that is geologically speaking!, now poetically speaking this is a feeling i s'pose i experience more and more, the smelling of rain, i love this...a time in college, on the porch watching it rain, smelling it!...i'll always remeber that day for nothing...well, and but it was raining and you seem to have "seen" it with your words, gorgeous work. gorgeous woman behind this work.

You bring back memories of rain and the smell. As if the angels were cleaning the sky, but I know which one wrote this poem. Nice write.
