Women

by George Hoerner

oh women of the world
born to bear children
conceived as the fruit of passion
and in the process
saving those fathers
who've never grown
beyond the boyhood
belief that love
conquers all

wars will come
wars will go
so hold on to me
and i'll hold on to you
as long as we can

and if i never
grow up to be the man
you thought i was
it doesn't mean
i didn't love you
and some day i'll know
what that means

I really like that second stanza. The sentiment in it. Well done.

Very nice...I like "...the boyhood belief that love conquers all".
