Speak to Me

by George Hoerner

oh crackling fire
of what do you speak
a lost language
of dreams
dreamt round you

and the ship wreck
lost far in time
in forgotten crowds
voiceless
throughout history

speak to me
of this mystery
seeing a bird
a bud a blue sky
of hearing a tune
a word a thought
this warmth
nothing known
that's new

yet all new
because of you
this mystery of newness

Well I have to say I love your long ago mystery of newness. This is wonderful. It flows just like so many mysteries in our lives. Beautiful.

i like the lack of punctuation. it confuses the line breaks and the language..but it makes it more of a dream. and dreams are okay with me.
