Just to Be With You Once

by Joe Cramer

Just to be with you once, my muse, and soon,

Makes my heart so very light, makes me swoon.

All of the things I want to say, to share

A lifetime of love that I give, to care.

When you are with me, my muse, at my side,

I will love you so much, I cannot hide.

To share such a joy in both of our lives,

Being together, such a love makes us wise.

You, my muse, all I have ever wanted,

Such a true love, without feeling daunted.

When we are joined my muse, to be so good,

This love to never be misunderstood.

To be with you my muse, I would adore,

A love I desire, forever more.

I love the "daunted"/"wanted" rhyme. Very clever!
