My Smile

by George Hoerner

i smiled blue as
i saw your hair of red
knowing my soft hands
would never touch that hair

i exhaled a halo of pink
as i my thoughts blushed
while my green jealous fingertips
already consider massaging
your neck and shoulders
and my lavender mind
is reflecting the dark hours
i could spend exploring
your creamy skin

and how a teacher
once said
“practice makes perfect”

...what egocentrism...and what a lovely sway o' feelings, painted even, i love the twist you made while holding true to color metaphor...an idian blanket kind of weave, keeper, as many of yours are.

This smile seems too unseen, a sparkle in your eye made it, really and it catches a fiery rainbow of the mind. Maybe if the first three words were moved up as title instead, it would catch glimmers of interesting blinks of eyelashes. I would like that, as it would give an unusual allure to an unusually shaped and painted poem!
