Chew, Then Swallow by Joe CramerChew
then swallow.
The bitterness
dissapates
with time
that is no longer
mine.
This pill
was hard
to take.
It took
all of me
to swallow.
I
wanted to
spit,
to quit
my life.
Instead
of sleeping pills
I wrote
this.
And there is no
one to talk to,
not even you. 08/13/2008 Author's Note: ... from a recent bad night.....
