On Such a Distant Shore

The waves lap softly

On this distant shore.

I am reminded of a time

When I was much more

Larger, than my life.

So softly now waves touch

My life, void of such strife.

I miss you, oh so much

Waiting for the day

When perhaps your love

Will come my way.

This is what I am always thinking of.

Author's Note: ... I was walking along the beach, very late the other evening... you could almost touch the stars....

This is beautiful and subtly composed. I can hear the gentle waves and feel the fine sand under my feet.
