Responsible for the Rain... by Bethany LeeAlways willing to change,
tomorrow
This is the last time
Is a mantra breeding disbelief and doubt.
Human fault lines whisk away all conviction.
We will change, we chant,
but we stay the same.
Angry at over-consuming unnecessary plastic playthings;
cloth covered bindings.
Empty musings over swirling smoke
A guise to pretend we cant see clearly
through our eyes
On our own.
Close to disowning our vital breath -
Not taking responsibility for the rain
When we get wet.
