The Rose that touch

by Keith D Allison

The passing of time
the snow upon the mountain
yet the heart is still move
this distance song

Her passion
was like the winds of the Sonora
her beauty
moves the eye
like a grass fire raging in the wind

Hear her thunder
of a thousand warriors marching
she succumbed the breath
that gave the motion to the heart

stepping into the shadows land
wrapped in the warmth of her smile
for ever, for ever
to hold this dream of dancing

Even though the swing from past to present tense felt a bit akward to me, this had a wispy ache to it that touched me deeply.
