As Long As I Live

by Joe Cramer

There is such a love in my heart for you,

Without you, my muse, I feel that my life

Is just like some sunless garden, it's true.

My heart is yours amidst struggles or strife.

A garden without blossoms or flower.

My muse inspires depth of emotion

In searching for you, I count each hour.

Longing for you, I would move an ocean,

So much love dwelling in my heart for you.

All I can dream is of your sweetest face.

You are with me always, in all I do.

Such poignant thoughts that time could not erase.

More to you, my muse, that I would but give

For now, for always, as long as I live.

Author's Note: ... I remain "museless"... so I continually write about a love to be.....

If wishes could be made real by intention, I would have to guess that one of these days, you'll come from work, and there she'll be, as if it's always been.....

You know, I was just noticing, that if "museless" loses the first letter, we become "useless". Hmmmmmm.
