Calm by Alison McKenzieI am a still surface,
Ocean of glass,
Depths of life and death
Disguised by
Shimmer earthen eyes.
Magma forms layers below.
Cools in the currents -
Silent stones.
I am unvisited,
Unexplored, unseen.
I will not be mapped.
Unmoved but for the moon,
I take no lovers -
Longing is for the living.
