Reflections of Me

by Christopher Shin

Blind my eyes
and take my soul.
Drink the last
glass as I
drown in my sorrow.

Take ambitions and
glory from the edge
of my grasps.
Cause nothing seems
so quite honorable
when you do it first.

Smoke my last cigarette,
and stab it out half finished.
Walk away from me
when I need you the most.
Since after all you do
it all so well.

Curse the moon and the stars,
and tell me the worth
of all my weight in flesh.
Yet in it all I am
you and you are I.

In the end all
I can do is stare
into me.

I love that you say so much with so little..."In the end all I can do is stare into me"
