A Country Gentleman

by Joe Cramer

A country gentleman

Is what I wanted to be

Living on the outskirts

Of such a staid society.

So quietly I live

Moving around in shadows,

the phone rarely rings,

The mailman scarcely brings

Any news of the world.

Quietly I live my life,

A country gentleman.

A life I would love to live. Only as a gentle woman. Every Texan girl's dream. Congrats... A phenomenal write.

For me you've drawn a word picture of dullsville! But that is my bias. You've drawn it clearly.
