"A Songwriter Sighs" by Max PhineasI never get this part right
Where words and spiraling string plucks intertwine
My rhythm is fine
...and not much more.
I like the melody this time, I do.
But the bass blares in my headphones;
a violent reminder
Of who I'll never be. 07/29/2008 Posted on 07/29/2008 Copyright © 2024 Max Phineas

Posted by Deborah Breuer on 07/30/08 at 04:58 PM I'm going to share this with my boyfriend and hope he becomes content with the life we have but continues to play his music as a release. Any advice? I like this poem very much. Nice dive into the soul. |
