Singing loon at midnight by Jim BenzBeneath a crescent moon, the cool breeze
stirs smoke from the embers of a dying fire --
Through the night, we sit quietly beside the fire's glow
watching stars disappear, swallowed
by the same black cloud that swallows moons 07/27/2008 Author's Note: I'm just trying to get some poetry started - in the vein of Weng Wei. As is probably obvious, it's more challenging than expected.
