Heart on my Sleeve by Joe CramerI'm always wearing my heart on my sleeve,
This much I know, and do truly believe
That I am simply not the kind of man
Any woman would want, I understand
There's too much inside of me. I know it,
Always penning my emotions. A poet,
What I have always and forever been.
So often I have tried to let love in.
My emotions leave me tender hearted,
I can never have the love I started
Within my heart of hearts, this much I know,
Never afraid to let my feelings show.
What I'm trying to say in words not few.
I would love to be in your life, I do. 07/24/2008 Author's Note: ... this started off as a small rhyming poem, then turned into a sonnet....

Posted by Genevieve Sturrock on 07/25/08 at 02:10 AM hello, joe. as a gal who captured a sleeve wearing guy, i have to say, those who don't appreciate your sensitivity have no clue what they are missing. utter devotion is a scary proposition...but the solid stability of such a devoted one is priceless. hang tough, she's out there. |
