about being in the moment

by Maria Kintner

I am remembering you...
You are phantoms of warm
sensations, in the muffled silence of snow.
Drifting from rooftops, swirling in
innerspace.

I am remembering us...
Your mouth, complete in connection
with mine.
leg over leg over arm over
arm..
- from hand to face...
I detour over contours of your
perfection, with the fingers of
my soul.

I adore this mellow-sweet lingering dream...
[where is lightening when you need it?]
I am handcuffed to a 5000 mile wall.
And you're just on the other side, Baby...

Wonderful attention to imagery throughout. I was really into the first stanza in particular. Well done.
