drifting into inspiration by Maria Massarellaprovokative summer breeze urges play
yet no finger of mine twitches into surrender
remote intentions - dormant moves break
not a pencil’s impending fall nor prevent
succulent pages from soaring like volatile
multitudes of white butterflies
green-specked hazel
my eyes seagaze beyond horizons
wordwaves lap heartsmind
with allures of inspiration
still I desist
their evanescence rims infinity
while i drift into anodynes and day-
dreams travelling spacious summers
on endless splendid shores
diamond-light dunes me through deserts
the oasis found amidst swaying palms
sunkissed eyes open to Egyptness
envision majestic grandeur
amidst fragmented Parthian thoughts
waves of mindtravel murmur that
others may desire to revel on my Riviera
these magic shores that once unveiled
timeless beauty to Ulysses
wonder ever mine to behold
should i breathe away dreams
and waken to reality...
summer 2001
