fantasy dies

by Christopher Shin

A glance and the glamour
is gone as those who
linger in the wind flicker.

Green blades bow as the
sunlight fades into
the darkness of the heart.

Dragonfly wings cascade
as the dying breathe blows
one last breath of air.

Those that cling to us
explode as debunking worlds
prove that fantasy becomes
more of someone else's reality.

Late night howls as
the banshee drags her
back to hell.

A last song sung,
and the chaos engulfs
the last dying hope.

In it all the world
becomes destructive,
and the love the world
creates becomes the end.

You are definitely enjoying your dip into the morbidity pool, and your work definitely reflects it beautifully. Since, as you said, this is just expression of that place, and at your request, I will not be concerned for you then, but rather observe the darkness as you expose it.

Beautiful imagery...very dark but beautifully stated.
