darling stranger. by Meghan Helmichwe grew apart in the same apartment.
reaching around the dark for the light
switch and touching only a permanent
face in the hallway paint. right
between hand prints - it's happened before.
the sliding of fingers into bare sight.
always a quiet stampede to the door,
while darling is sleeping around
the body pillow, mouth shaped in a roar. 07/18/2008 Author's Note: terza rima. (i'm on a form kick.) but it's not finished - i'm at work and can't concentrate anymore. AND i don't know how i feel about the title. i think i've heard it before.
