so much for summer by Meghan Helmichsuited bodies leaning on palms,
overwhelmed and breathing heavy.
beaches with bathwater, hazel waves
falling all over themselves.
overwhelmed and breathing heavy -
sweaty hands folded into mountains,
falling all over themselves.
pink seams are bursting with
sweaty hands, folded into mountains.
forgotten plans still wide-eyed with sleep.
pink seams are bursting with
melted crayons and freshly painted
forgotten plans - still. wide-eyed with sleep,
the small warm faces turn to shade
melted crayons. and freshly painted,
suited bodies lean on palms. 07/18/2008 Author's Note: my first pantoum.
