Me and only Me

by Christopher Shin

Explode and the sun
bursts into ice.
The moon glows an
afterglow as it
burns into a cold flame.

The rock stacks up,
and I stand on top of a
mountain peak staring.
The black fluid rushes
into my mouth.

My soul screams
like a thousand voices,
but the traffic jam and
the honking makes it sound
like a mime.

Tears that can fill an ocean
rains down like a thousand pigeons,
but unfortunately the skyscrapers
drink the burning drops.

Love embraces all around me,
but I'm in the building next door.
Sadly the tragedy of my life
comes out as a comedy.

Slowly I drift into madness,
but to everybody else I am
being me.
